MusicMetrics (“we”) operates musicmetrics.net. This policy explains what information is processed when you use the site.

Information we collect

We do not ask you to create an account and we do not collect names, email addresses or other directly identifying information, unless you contact us by email.

Our hosting provider (Netlify) processes technical data such as IP address, browser type and requested pages in server logs for security and reliability.

Cookies and local storage

  • Preferences: your theme (light/dark) and language-banner choices are stored in your browser’s local storage. They never leave your device.
  • Analytics: if enabled, we use privacy-friendly analytics (Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity or Cloudflare Web Analytics) to understand which pages are useful. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland these only run after consent.
  • Advertising: we use Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings or www.aboutads.info. Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland are asked for consent through a Google-certified consent management platform.

Third-party content

Song pages may embed YouTube videos using YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com); the video only loads when you press play. Images are loaded from Apple, Deezer and YouTube servers.

Some outbound links (e.g. to Apple Music or Amazon) are affiliate links. If you buy or subscribe after clicking, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. The retailer may set its own cookies.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (e.g. GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA, KVKK), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data and to object to processing. Because we hold almost no personal data, most requests concern third parties above; contact us and we will help.

Children

The site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13 (16 in the EEA).
